Since the age of 13, Rylan Schwarze has committed himself to the art of magic.
After reading an autobiography of one of magic’s most influential performers, he knew where he wanted to go and acquired the necessary skills to take him there. Today, operating under the stage name of Rynestone, this Brockville native entertains audiences across Canada.
Rylan discovered the Leeds Grenville Small Business Enterprise Centre while still in high school – participating in their Summer Company program. A few years later, after graduating from Bishop’s University in business administration, he connected with the Enterprise Centre again, to take part in Starter Company, to hone his business skills further.
“The whole progression (Summer Company, then Starter Company) is what helped me turn magic into a business,” stated Rynestone recently. “These programs really helped me take my business to the next level.”
“Being able to ask business questions and get answers from people who actually know what they’re talking about has been huge.”
“Wendy and Jeanette have been great. If they didn’t know the answer to something, they would connect you to the right business people in the area. ActionCOACH Kevin Savoy taught how to be more specific with my sales pitch and pricing. He really helped.”
