March 20, 2018 – Brockville, Ontario –Leeds Grenville Small Business Centre (LGSBEC) routinely facilitates a number of events to assist small businesses in Ontario. These events are aimed not just at people starting new businesses, but also those who have been in business for a few years, and offer any practical support needed to thrive in today’s economy.
Over the past year alone, the Centre has helped launch 171 businesses, provided over 200 business consultations and fielded 3600 business inquiries. There are a number of events scheduled for the coming months, geared towards helping entrepreneurs with all aspects of successful management, networking and more.
Breakfast & Business Workshop Series
This series runs until 25 May 2018, with the next events scheduled for March 23, 2018, and May 25, 2018. They are held between 7:30 am and 10:30 am and cover topics such as maximizing online marketing campaigns, and how Facebook Live and Marketplace can help business growth. The upcoming event for March 23 is on Finance 101 – Creating and Interpreting Reports for Profit.
Business Mentorship Series
This event runs until 19 June 2018. Upcoming dates are March 27, April 24, May 22 and June 19, 2018. They are held at the Prescott Town Hall between 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm and topics of discussion include how to make successful alliances in business, the foundations of any business, social media do’s and don’ts, and networking 101. Each month’s topic is posted online between 2 and 3 weeks in advance. The topic for March is ‘The who, what, when, where why and how of networking.’
