February 22, 2018 – Brockville, Ontario –Leeds Grenville Small Business Centre (LGSBEC) will celebrate International Women’s Day 2018 on Thursday, March 8, 2018, from 4 pm to 9 pm at eQuinelle, North Grenville. The event will begin with a trade show and cocktails from 4 pm to 6.30 pm, followed by a 3-course dinner from 6.30 pm to 7.45 pm and a speech from 7.45 pm to 8.30 pm. The Keynote Speaker this year is Jodi Wright, National Manager, RBC Global Asset Management.
- Press for Progress
The theme of the presentation at LGSBEC this year is #PressForProgress, in keeping with a need to address gaps in gender equality that continue to exist even as they narrow. More and more Canadian women are expected to have greater control over financial wealth over the coming decade, and this year’s presentation will address the challenges as well as opportunities faced by women from a financial perspective.
- Growing your business
Celebrating International Women’s Day 2018 at Leeds & Grenville Small Business Enterprise Centre is also an integral part of its mission to be a resource centre and assist with all questions about growing a business in Ontario. The team has years of experience helping clients understand all kinds of challenges while capitalizing on assets. There will also be a Lifetime Achievement Award presented at 8:30 pm, recognizing a woman who has been in business for many years and celebrating her achievements as a business leader in the community. Our Emcee for this year is Diana Fisher, locally known writer, editor, and marketing communications specialist currently with 97.5 JuiceFM Kemptville.
