If you've for a winning idea for starting a new business and are a full-time student who is not afraid of hard work, the you should consider applying to our 'Summer Company' program.

If you are:

• Between 15-29 years of age
• A student returning to high school, college or university full time in the fall of 2007
• A Canadian citizen or landed immigrant
• Not operating an existing business or employed elsewhere during the term of the student entrepreneurship experience
• Prepared to commit at least 8-12 weeks - 32.5 hours per week to your Summer Company

What's in it for you?

Our summer company student entrepreneurship experience provides hands-on business training and mentoring and awards up to $3000.00 to help enterprising young people start up and run their own summer company. It is a great opportunity to develop entrepreneurial skills and experience and make money.

Summer Company is a great opportunity for enterprising young people who want to start and run their own summer businesses. The program provides hands-on business coaching and mentoring from local community business leaders who will work with you to make your Summer Company a reality.

And, you never know. One day your summer experience may lead to an exciting career.

All interested students are invited to take advantage of business consulting services and resources available through our network of Small Business Enterprise Centres. It is strongly recommended that you attend an orientation session at the Center nearest you.
