What Is It?
It's an opportunity for Ontario high school students to create a business plan and compete with their peers throughout the province for awards of up to $ 2,500!
How Does It Work?
Students must first compete at a local business plan competition organized by a Small Business Enterprise Centre in their area. For the Leeds and Grenville Area, contact Wendy Onstein at wonstein@brockville.com and inquire when the next competition schedule / deadline.
The winner of each local competition becomes a Finalist in Northern Ontario, Eastern Ontario, South-western Ontario or Central Ontario, depending on their location. The winner from each region will then compete for a placement at the Provincial level.
with bursaries of up to $1000 and Provincial winners with bursaries of up to $1500. All finalists are honored at an annual awards banquet where the Regional and Provincial winners are announced.
What Will I Learn?
This is a great opportunity for high school students to show their creativity and entrepreneurial spirit. Even if the plan doesn't win, students get invaluable feedback from business professionals on the viability of their business plan.

- Spring yard raking
- Flower and garden weeding
- Scrap booking/picture album sorting and organizing
- Creation of memorial books for loved ones or pets
- E-Bay selling
- Child Care/assistance for the elderly:
- Assistance with meal preparation
- Painting (fencing, outside trim, sheds, indoor rooms, etc)
